First Acti­vate the Typog­ra­phy Plu­gin located in your Plu­g­ins administrator.

You’ll also need to turn on the fea­tures you want to use in the wp-Typography option in Set­tings administrator.

Then you’ll enjoy the auto­matic con­ver­sions made pos­si­ble by this tool:

1st 2nd and 3rd are as they should be.

use / to get a obelus like this: (1÷2) or ^ to get num­bers like so: 32

Proper char­ac­ters are cre­ated with ()‘s and a let­ter like C: ©, R: ®, TM:™ SM: ℠, P: ℗

To turn this on you should look in your Plu­gin Admin­is­tra­tor for a plu­gin called wp-Typography.
